How to publish a book?

I love to read. Also love to write. If I was gonna publish a book - how would I go about doing that? who do I sell the book idea to? who do I send drafts to? who do I talk to? anyone have any idea how to get published - assuming my books are good??

Get the guys in India to publish your book cheap. Print thousands. Then visit bookstores and give them your books to sell.

Or send one to a publisher and convince them to sell it. But realize you're standing in a very long line.
